| Barra del Colorado National Wildlife Refuge Location: It is located on the border between la Barra del Colorado and the Caribbean coast in the province of Limon. Importance: It is made up of a swampy area almost totally devoid of ligneous vegetation, with marginal soils not apt for agriculture or cattle ranching. Nonetheless, it posses a very high tourist potential.
